The Emmaus Commons is a centrally located building that houses several very important and useful spaces. Perhaps the most well known (and most important) is the kitchen and the Furman Dining Room. This space can hold up to 170 guests for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Our kitchen is brand new as of May 2000 and provides our staff with the necessary tools to make hot, delicious meals all year round.

The North Porch offers guests a place to hold meetings and gatherings for 20-25 people. A wood stove provides ample heat and the close proximity to our coffee machine makes the north porch a popular meeting area. The Vanderburg Room is another flexible meeting area for groups of 35-40. The room is equipped with a couple of ping pong tables and a wood stove. Also in the Emmaus Commons is Casowasco’s Gift Shop. The Shop has items ranging from mugs to fleece jackets and is a popular after meal destination.
